Aïssata Sako is an implementation and management strategist living and working—most of the time—in Montreal, situated on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà:ka nation. She is passionate about using evidence-based interventions to improve wellbeing, safety, and health access equity for individuals with health vulnerabilities. She brings expertise in all of the behind-the-scenes work that makes research and collaboration possible, from building ethical and impactful strategic alliances, to designing and building programs, supporting successful funding applications, and managing project implementation. Aïssata is a solution finder with a skillset for developing corporate governance principles, promoting safe workplaces that integrate equity, diversity, and inclusion at all levels, and motivation efficient team dynamics. Recent highlights of her work include contributing to changes to federal policy on addiction treatment, impactful COVID-19 initiatives to improve access to opioid agonist treatment and working with stakeholders to increase access to take-home naloxone.
