Julie Dingwell has been the Executive Director of AIDS Saint John since 1999 and a founding member and Chair of the Sex-trade Action Committee (STAC) since 2005. She has been involved with several research projects and is a co-applicant on the CIHR funded Promising Practices in the Engagement of People Living With or At-Risk for HIV/AIDS in Rural Canada . In 2011, she and Saint John Police Chief Bill Reid produced a video on harm reduction for York University. Ms. Dingwell is committed to enhancing the meaningful involvement of people who use drugs in small/rural Canadian communities and is interested in policy development around addictions issues. She provides frontline experience of the many barriers around access to harm reduction.
