Julie-Soleil Meeson is the Lead for Content and Practice Knowledge Mobilization at the Association des intervenants en dépendance du Québec (AIDQ), where she coordinates the Québec Harm Reduction Conference (QHRC) and develops tools, training, and knowledge mobilization activities to support practices in substance use and harm reduction. She is also a lecturer at the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Continuing Education, where she teaches the course Drugs and Criminality. She holds a master’s degree in criminology and has over 25 years of experience with community-based organizations, research initiatives, and projects related to harm reduction, drug checking, festival and nightlife outreach, and drug policy. Involved in drug checking projects since 2005, including with ANKORS at the Shambhala festival, she also coordinates the Drug Resources and Education Project (DRED), which aims to develop a holistic approach to drug checking. Her current work focuses on emerging substance use trends, drug policy, criminalized people who use substances, women and substance use, and harm reduction practices. Julie-Soleil has been involved with CDPC since 2015 and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors.
